Mr. Hanna is an independent energy consultant and sole proprietor of Hanna NRG, LLC. He is an expert in program evaluation with over 35 years’ experience. Mr. Hanna has worked on a variety of projects over his career including energy efficiency and demand response (DR) portfolios, electric and gas load research, and renewable energy. He recently was a technical advisor on the development of C&I end-use load shapes for a Mid-West utility. Mr. Hanna has recently worked for a couple of Demand Response Provider (DRP) to perform impact evaluations of their DR portfolios in California. While at Itron for 19 years, he managed the evaluation of SDG&E’s Peak Time Rebate and Small Customer Technology Deployment programs for four years as well as the evaluation of FPL’s 2014 Smart Thermostat pilot program, PGE’s 2013-2015 C&I AutoDR pilot program, and SCE’s 2011-2012 Edison SmartConnect® programs, among others. Prior to Itron, Mr. Hanna was responsible for gas and electric load research and the annual impact evaluations of KeySpan Energy’s Demand Side Management programs. Mr. Hanna has a B.S in Environmental Engineering and an M.S. in Energy Management.
