In addition to relevant experience working for an electric and gas utility, Rachel Harcharik has nearly 20 years of energy consulting experience, and most recently served in a role as Senior Director of an industry-leading energy consulting group and data science team, before forming Quantum Energy Analytics, LLC.  Her work experience includes portfolio-level evaluation planning and management; portfolio-level data development and management; and staff and client management in support of several of the industry’s largest portfolio commercial, agricultural and industrial evaluations.  These multi-utility studies span prescriptive offerings, custom and new construction programs and distributed energy resource (DER) consulting services, but her relevant experience also spans residential and new construction programs and markets, market and process evaluations and an array of utility program delivery channels and strategies. 

In conducting this work, she utilizes a strong set of skill sets that includes planning, knowledge of energy usage and end uses, program design, quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, AMI data analytics, and all aspects of primary and secondary data collection.  Ms. Harcharik has a strong reputation as a leader and a lauded track record for completing work that exceeds all client objectives and all interim and final reporting deadlines, while achieving quality and reliability objectives as well. 

Ms. Harcharik obtained her B.A. in Mathematics from the University of San Diego and her M.A. in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.

Rachel has a daughter and son that are nearly fully grown – ok, one is 6’-5” so fully grown — and set to spread their wings and lives in the greater San Diego area. In addition to work, she keeps busy traveling the world (taking pictures along the way), hiking, shuttling to and from team sports events with her kids, and socializing with friends and family – and always keeping them top-of-mind.
